The history and progress of this project was discussed during a meeting between representatives of the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS), and Twining on January 30, 1996. The consensus of those concerned was that additional soil assessment is required to delimit the lateral extent of PPC migration in subsurface soil and to gather additional data on groundwater. The following proposed work scope is formulated to perform the required assessment. 3.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE i The purpose of this site characterization is to assess and delimit the lateral extent of PPC impacted soil and to further investigate groundwater so that one or more corrective action(s) may be identified and proposed. The following scope of work is proposed to achieve the stated objective: Collect subsurface soil samples from selected locations at the project site; s Collect groundwater samples from the on-site monitoring wells and from boreholes drilled for soil sampling;
