INTRODUCTION
At the request of the City of Stockton,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this
' quarterly report the Van Buskirk Golf Course maintenance facility(site) located at 1740 Houston
Avenue, Stockton, California(Figure 1).
' The scope of work included monitoring and sampling of ground water from eight ground water
monitoring wells. The purpose of the ground water monitoring program is to monitor site ground
water for seasonal variation in elevation, gradient and flow.direction, and to assess the impact of
r' petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenating compounds on ground water beneath the site.
t Site background information was summarized in the AGE-prepared Additional Soil and Ground
WaterAssessment Work Plan, dated 31 July 2000,which was approved by the San Joaquin County-
Environmental Health Department (EHD) by letter dated 04 August 2000 (See Appendix A).
' This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established in Appendix A to Tri-Regional
Recommendations - Reporting, dated 30 August 1991, prepared by the Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board (Appendix A- Reports) for the investigation of UST sites.
lie
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
On 24 September 2002, a ground water monitoring.event was conducted at the site. The ground
' water monitoring activities included measurement of ground water levels in site monitoring wells
MW-1 through MW-10 and collection of ground water samples from monitoring wells MW-3
through MW-10. The field work was conducted as outlined in the AGE work plan titled Work Plan
' Addendum, dated 19 November 2001 and approved by the EHD on 06 December 2001, and
performed in accordance with EHD guidelines for ground water.monitoring well sampling and
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines for investigation of underground.
storage tank(UST) sites.
I
' 2.1. WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION PROCEDURES
' A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in each well relative to
the, tops of the well casings to the nearest 0.01 foot. After ground water depth measurements were
collected, between 2 and 13 gallons of water were evacuated from monitoring wells MW-4 through
' MW-8 using a dedicated,disposal bailer(a minimum three casing water volumes);between 20 and
27 gallons of water were evacuated from monitoring wells MW-9 and MW-10 using a Waterra
inertial pump. Temperature, pH and conductivity were.measured at regular intervals, using an
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc..
