Quarterly Report - First and Second Quarters 2002 <br /> • VAN BUSKIRK GOLF COURSE FACILITY <br /> 1740 Houston Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of the City of Stockton,Advanced GcoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this <br /> ' quarterly report for the Van Buskirk Golf Course maintenance facility(site)located at 1740 Houston <br /> Avenue, Stockton, California (Figure 1). The work included installation of three soil borings, ,. <br /> collection of grab ground water samples, completion of two borings as ground water monitoring <br /> ' wells, and collection of ground water samples from the newly installed wells to assess the impact <br /> of petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenating compounds on ground water beneath the site. <br /> . This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established in Appendix A to Tri-Regional <br /> Recommendations - Reporting, dated 30 August 1991, prepared by the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of UST sites. Site background <br /> ' information was summarized in the'AGE-prepared Additional Soil and Ground Water Assessment <br /> Work Plan, dated 31 July 2000, which was approved by the San Joaquin County - Environmental <br /> Health'Department (EHD) by letter dated 04 August 2000. <br /> 2.0. . PROCEDURES <br /> The work was conducted as outlined in the AGE work plan titled Work Plan Addendum, dated 19 <br /> ' November 2001 and approved by the EHD on 06 December 2001,-and was performed in accordance <br /> with EHD guidelines for ground water monitoring well sampling and CVRWQCB guidelines for <br /> investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites. The following is a chronology of the <br /> investigation: <br /> • On 18 and 20 February 2002, soil boring B8 was advanced at the site,near wells MW-4 and <br /> ' MW-6,to discrete depths of 60 feet below surface grade(bsg)and 71 feet bsg to collect grab <br /> ground water samples; the boring was abandoned and grouted on 23 February. <br /> ' On 20 February, soil boring B9 was advanced at the site near wells MW-7 and MW-8 to,a <br /> depth of 60 feet bsg to collect a grab ground water sample; on 23 February, soil boring 89 <br /> was advanced to a depth of 70 feet bsg and completed as depth discrete monitoring well. <br /> ' On 08 March 2002, one additional monitoring well (MW-10) was installed east of the co- <br /> locatedB9, MW-8 and MW-9; this well was installed to depth of 55 feet bsg. <br /> ' The two new wells were developed on 21,March and purged and sampled on 04 April 2002. <br /> ' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
