. 16 April-200'0' . .
AGE NC'Project No: 98-0468
' Laboratory results of groundwater samples analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons, fuel additives and
VOCs are summarized.in Table 2. The laboratory reports'(MAI Laboratory'ID: 617t0.to 91715),
quality, assurance and- quality control,(QA/QC)' reports arid chains-of-custody'are included in
Appendix B.• A volume and mass calculation of the MTBE in the ground water at 0e; site is '
presented in Appendix C.
4.0. SUMMARY,Y/CONCLUSIONS k
The following summarypoints and conclusions were drawn from the results of the site investigation:
• During this m6nit0ring event; the depth_to ground water was withinthe, well screen intervals.
Ground water.elevation in'the monitoring wells increased an average 6f 0:9 feet since.the
previous monitoring event.
• • Based on,gr water elevation data, groundwater flow, direction is inferred to be toward,
the;northeast. Ground water gradient for March 2000 was calculated to be 0,012.
• MTBE was detected in the ground water samples collected from MW-3, MW-4'and MW-6
b EPA Method 8260. A roximatel 77 s of MTBE are dissolved in a thirty foot thick-.
.Y, pp gran?
aquifer, within the monitoringwell network.
The down-gradient extent'of MTBE-impacted-ground water has been delineated to.the DHS-:.
established maximurh contaminant level (MCL) of 5 ,ug/1 for MTBE in,ground water.
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' collected at the"site 'AGE recommends continuation of the uarterl ground water
Based upon data co e ,_ q Y gr
monitoring program, the next.ground_water monitoring event is scheduled to be conducted in early'
' June 2001. ;
LIMITATIONS r.
AGE's professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised
by environmental•consultants practicing in this,or. similar localities..The findings were based'upon:
a.nalytical, results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the,geologic/hydrogeologle
conditions at-the site for the purpose of this investigation were, from a.limited number of
available data points (i.e.,monitoring well grour;d water samples) and subsurface conditions may. .
.' vary beyond these data -points. yNo other warranty' expressed or implied, is'made as:to the ',
professional recommendations contained in this report.
' Advanced Ge4tivironmental,Inc.
