I <br /> This workplan summarizes previous investigations conducted at',the site by Krazan which detected the ; <br /> presence of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents (PHCs) in soil and groundwater in the vicinity of a <br /> former 1,000-gallon underground storage tank (UST). This workplan also describes the proposed ' <br /> { methods to define the lateral and vertical extent of PHCs in soil and groundwater at and beneath the <br /> subject site. The workplan was prepared in response to a letter received on April 9, 1998 from the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD). Tliat letter requested that a workplan for <br /> installing three groundwater monitoring wells be submitted by June 19, 1998, with fieldwork to start by <br /> j June 30, 1998.
