Mr. Harlin Knoll, REHS 3 December 13, 1991
Following receipt of the closure verification analyses, the excavations were backfilled and
compacted. Imported clean fill was used to replace the stockpile material. Analysis of i
the two soil stockpile samples indicated the presence of TPH-G at concentrations of 0.77
and 33 ppm, toluene at 0.035 and 0.0057 ppm, and xylene in one sample at 0.013 ppm.
Once the stockpile is completely characterized, it will most likely be transported to
Forward Landfill for disposal.
+
The analytical results of the closure verification samples indicate that there'remains no
threat to ground water quality and additional excavation is not warranted. Canonie
considers closure complete.
If you have any questions concerning this Closure Excavation and Sampling Report,
please contact me or David Poole at (510) 463-9117.
Respectfully submitted, i
David L.
