J CSMA <br /> Working To Restore Nature <br /> SUMMARY OF ADDITIONAL SITE ASSESSMENT <br /> AND REMEDIAL INVESTIGATION RESULTS <br /> EKHOLM PROPERTY <br /> 1702 Jackson Street <br /> Escalon, CA 95320 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> ' This report is submitted on behalf of Mrs Margaret Ekholm to summarize the results of <br /> additional subsurface assessment at 1702 Jackson Street, Escalon, California (Plate 1) The <br /> investigation was requested by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental <br /> ' Health Division (PHS/EHD) Field work included drilling and installing three groundwater <br /> monitoring wells and three soil vapor extraction wells, logging subsurface soils utilizing the <br /> Unified Soil Classification System, collecting soil samples, developing the three new <br /> groundwater monitoring wells, sampling all site groundwater monitoring wells, submitting soil <br /> 1 and groundwater samples for laboratory analysis, and performing a soil vapor extraction test <br /> ' 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Site Description <br /> ' The site sits on level terrain in central Escalon, California, and consists of an abandoned lot with <br /> a single building The facility previously operated as a retail gasoline distribution facility <br /> 2.2 Proximity of Private, Municipal, and Irrigation Wells: <br /> Well location data within a 1/2 mile radius of the site was obtained from the California <br /> Department of Water Resources (DWR) Well data revealed the presence of 9 wells including <br /> 1 domestic well, 1 industrial well, 3 municipal wells, 3 destroyed wells, and 1 other well The <br /> nearest well is a municipal well located approximately 100 feet northeast of the project site <br /> This well was located visually as the DWR well search did not identify the well The <br /> information provided by DWR did not provide accurate locations of any of the nearby wells <br /> t50047\R-031594 FNL 1 <br />
