Jahant Rd. <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD) , has received the Re-excavation Work Plan dated <br /> September 25, 1990. We have the following comments: <br /> 1. Submit a site map which shows the top view and cross <br /> sectional view of each pit. Illustrate area to be over- <br /> excavated. <br /> 2. Indicate sampling locations in each pit area. A minimum <br /> of each sidewall and bottom should be sampled. <br /> 3. Refer to table 2 of enclosed Tri-Regional Board Staff <br /> Recommendations for minimum verification methods to be <br /> used for each tank pit. <br /> 4. Submit a site health and safety plan. <br /> 5. Aeration is not an effective method for treatment of <br /> diesel and waste oil contamination. <br /> 6. Proposals to use contaminated soil as asphalt shall <br /> undergo the following: <br /> (a) self certification of soil as "non-hazardous" using <br /> CCR title 22 criteria <br /> (b) review of plan by San Joaquin County Air Pollution <br /> Control District (APCD) , County Planning, Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, and <br /> PHS/EHD. <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
