Wood Company
17300 Jahant Road, Clements
Please be advised that this office has reviewed the above referenced workplan."
We have found the plan to be inadequate as the following considerations have
not been addressed.
1. A scaled drawing must be provided that has the following
information:
a. Location of all former tanks and pipelines.
b. Location of any underground public and/or private utilities such as
septic systems and leach fields, sewer lines, water lines and any
overhead lines.
c. Location of any public or private wells located on the site.
2. Provide detailed top view and cross sectional diagrams of the
proposed re-excavation site. Calculate the total cubic yardage of
the original excavated soil and proposed re-excavated soil.
Include the location of original excavated soil on diagram.
Stock-piled soils shall be stored so that vapor emissions and
dust controls are restricted. Submit the details of the on-site
storage method.
3. Illustrate on detailed site map suggested locations of sidewall and
bottom tank hole sampling, based upon 1 sample per 25 cubic yards
removed. In the event groundwater is encountered during excavation, the
bottom sample should be collected at soil/water interface and a "grab"
water sample collected for analysis.
4. Describe the source of information in which the depth to first
ground water was measured.
AdmiMstration Clinical Services Environmental Health Public Health Nursing
468-3400 468-3830 488-3420 468-38W
Air Pollution Community Services Laboratory WIC
486-3470 488-3820 469-3460 468-3280
AIDS Information 468-3920
