4� <br /> J <br /> the SWRCB Clean up Fund Letter of Committment, you 'must make application to <br /> the State of California Water Resources Control Board's (SWRCB) "Petroleum <br /> Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund" (Fund) ., AnIApplication package for the <br /> Fund has been provided. <br /> The Fund was created pursuant to Chapter 6.75 of the California Health and <br /> Safety Code to help eligible owners and operators 6!f petroleum underground <br /> storage tanks to: <br /> l. : Meet federal requirements to demonstrate financial responsibility; <br /> 2. obtain reimbursement for costs of the cleanup of unauthorized <br /> releases of petroleum from USTB; and �I <br /> 3. obtain reimbursement for damages awarded to third parties who are <br /> injured by petroleum releases. <br /> 1 <br /> The maximum amount available from the Fund is $99C1,1000 per occurrence. <br /> Claimants are responsible for the first $10,000 oflieligible costs. <br /> Applications must be submitted to the SWRCB Clean Up Pund by March 31, 1994 to <br /> undergo eligibility ranking for funding in the 1994-95 state fiscal budget <br /> year.
