Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> 4 <br /> SUBJECT: BEACON STATION NO. 513, 401 WEST KETTLEMAN LANE, LODI, CALIFORNIA <br /> I <br /> Dear Mr. Knoll : <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the First Quarter 1996 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> prepared by E1 Dorado 'Environmental , Inc. for the above-referenced Ultramar <br /> facility. Also included is the Quarterly Status Report describing the work <br /> completed this quarter and the work anticipated to be completed in the next <br /> quarter. <br /> ' Based on the- extended Period of time during which quarterly groundwater <br /> monitoring has been conducted the plume is stable and defined, and in fact non <br /> detect. Utilizing this data, continued quarterly monitoring is a waste of <br /> resources and will. not yield any additional worthwhile information. Therefore, <br /> Ultramar respectfully requests that the scope of work for this site be changed <br /> from continued quarterly monitoring to no quarterly monitoring until the tanks, E <br /> 3 product lines and dispensers are removed or upgraded. After tank removal <br /> activities are completed the groundwater monitoring wells will be sampled and k <br /> based on the results, the. need for further work will be evaluated.
