Lagorio: <br /> This letter, prepared by SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of ARCO <br /> Products Company, documents the abandonment of seven groundwater monitoring wells <br /> (W-4, W-5, W-7, W-8, W-10, W-1 1, and W-12) at the site referenced above. Well <br /> abandonment was approved by San Joaquin Coun y Public Health Services as outlined in <br /> their letter for No Further Action, dated February 7 1997. <br /> Groundwater monitoring wells W-4, W-5, W-7 -8, W-10, W-1 1, and W-12 were <br /> abandoned on December 22, 1998, in accordance with San Joaquin County requirements <br /> and with Bulletin 74-90, California Well Standards, California Department of Water <br /> Resources, June 1991 . Prior to the wells being abandoned, the depths of the wells were <br /> measured to verify that there were no obstruction to the total depth of the wells. All <br /> wells were clear of obstruction,,;, <br /> Groundwatermonitoring wells W-4, W-10, V1W-1 1 and W-12 were abandoned by pressure <br /> grouting from the bottom up with neat cement to ithin 1 foot of surface grade. The well <br /> boxes were then removed and the well was compl ted to surface with concrete. Wells <br /> W-5, W-7, and W-8 were abandoned by pressure routing from the bottom up with neat <br /> cement to the top of the well box, Well boxes at -5, W-7, and W-8 were left in place at <br /> the request of Mervyn's (property owner).
