SAN10 A Q U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> ----COUNTY---- <br /> Failure to comply with this order and/or to continue to advertise an illegal body art facility will <br /> result in the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department taking one or more of the <br /> following legal remedies against you: <br /> • Issue a Criminal and/or Administrative Citation <br /> • File a Civil and/or Criminal Case <br /> • Seize any and all materials, equipment and other property involved in the body art operation <br /> • Levy fines and/or liens against any real property listed in the names of any individual operating <br /> an illegal body art facility <br /> The Safe Body Art Act states: <br /> 119323 - Performing body art without being registered, performing body art at an unpermitted <br /> location, operating a body art facility without a health permit, or operating a temporary body art <br /> event without a permit shall be a misdemeanor. The local enforcement agency may also assess an <br /> administrative penalty in an amount not less than twenty-five dollars ($25)and not more than one <br /> thousand dollars($1,000)for violation of any provision of this chapter.All fines are to be retained <br /> by the local enforcement agency for enforcement of the provisions of this chapter. <br /> This Notice is only for future reference. Enclosed with this notice are registration documents. If you <br /> choose to practice body art in San Joaquin County, then fully complete and submit the documents to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department.
