Extensive soil contamination was also evidenced beneath the
product piping and pump islands which poses a threat to groundwater, based on seasonal high
depth to groundwater at 50 feet (Spring 1986). ;
A groundwater investigation was initiated and the soil investigation continued in October 1992.
Groundwater contamination has not been detected, with one exception during the fourth quarter
1993. Based on historical documentation, PHS/EHD concurs with the request to reduce
groundwater monitoring and reporting frequency to an annual basis until such time as additional
monitoring is warranted.
If you have any questions or if you wish to schedule a site inspection, please contact Mary Meays
at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Mary Meays, Senior HS XHDianeinson, REHU S +'
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
f
MM1800KET
cc: Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB c: Jay Johnson, EMCON
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
