. 28 February 2005 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 99-0624 <br /> Page 5 of 12 <br /> The nearest water well to the Flame Mini-Mart site is a municipal pumping station(Kofu Park Pump <br /> Station), located approximately 1,000 feet north of the site near the intersection of Ham Lane and <br /> Cardinal Street, all other wells are approximately '/z-mile from the site The nearest surface water <br /> is the Woodbridge Irrigation District(WID)canal,located approximately 470 feet west ofthe subject <br /> site It is unlikely for these potential receptors to be impacted by contaminated site ground water, <br /> based on the lateral extent of the contaminated ground water and the distances of these receptors <br /> from the site <br /> 4.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The scope of work will consist of the following tasks <br /> • Permitting, planning and pre-field work activities, <br /> • Installation of three wells to define the southeastern and northeastern lateral extent of the <br /> contaminant plume, <br /> . • Installation and pilot testing of one shallow ozone-sparging well and an ozone generator to <br /> determine feasibility for interim ground water remediation and control of the offsite <br /> migration of MTBE to the south, and <br /> • Preparation of a report of findings <br /> Each of these tasks are discussed below in detail <br /> 41 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> A site assessment soil boring permit will be obtained from the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (EHD) A site specific Health and Safety Plan (SHSP) will be prepared in <br /> accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site <br /> Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and federal (29 <br /> CFR 1910 120)and state(Title 8,Cal Code Reg ,Section 5192)regulations The SHSP will cover <br /> • Health and safety officer and key personnel,and personnel requirements and responsibilities <br /> • Field activities, overall work practices and standard operating procedures (SOP) <br /> • On-site chemicals and potential hazardous substances as well as physical hazards <br /> • • Risk analysis for existing site conditions, and description of personal protective equipment <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmentai,Inc <br />
