' 21 June 2002 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 99-0624 <br />' Page 2of6 <br /> utilizing the Gregg In-Situ System CPT computer program The Gregg In-Situ System computer <br />' program utilized the SBT Soil Behavior Type(Robertson, 1990),to generate a general lithology type <br /> and display on a CPT boring log (See Appendix A) Rinseate generated during all drilling and <br />' sampling activities was containerized in properly labeled DOT-approved 55-gallon drums, and <br /> transported back by the drilling company for proper disposal All soil borings were backfilled over <br /> their entire depth with a portland cement grout mix <br /> I <br /> 2 2 CPT DRILLING AND GROUND WATER COLLECTION PROCEDURES <br /> Grab ground water samples were collected utilizing a 25-ton truck-mounted CPT drill ng equipped <br /> with 1 75-inch diameter hollow-stern rods fitted with a HydroPunch ground water sampling tool <br />' Grab ground water samples were collected from twinned borings advanced immediately adjacent to <br /> each initial CPT boring <br />' Ground water samples were collected from specified depth intervals(zones)based on the previously <br /> acquired CPT-lithology data that indicated favorable conditions for sampling A HydroPunch <br /> sampling tool was pushed into the specified zone,then withdrawn approximately four feet to expose <br /> lie an inlet screen, a 1-inch outer diameter (O D ) stainless steel bailer was lowered and utilized to <br /> extract a ground water sample <br />' Following collection, the samples were properly labeled, placed in laboratory-supplied containers <br /> and transported under chain-of-custody to McCampbell Analytical Inc (MAI), a California <br />' Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified laboratory Samples were analyzed for <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) in accordance with EPA <br />' Methods 5030 and 8015 Modified <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) with methyl tertiary-butyl ether <br /> (MTBE) in accordance with EPA Method 8020 <br />' • Oxygenated volatile organics-di-isopropyl ether(DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE), <br /> MTBE, tertiary-amyl methyl ether(TAME) and tertiary butanol (TBA) in accordance with <br /> IEPA Method 8260B <br /> • <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
