' 13 November 2000
• AGE-NC Project No 99-0624
' • BTEX compounds were detected in the water samples collected from all four monitoring
wells, the MW-2 sample had the highest concentrations
' • Utilizing EPA Method 8260M, MTBE was detected at concentrations of 2,300 µg11 and 6 8
µg/l in ground water samples from MW-2 and MW-3,respectively MTBE was not detected
in samples collected from MW-I and MW-4 The data shows that MTBE-impact to ground
' water does not extend to the west to MW-1 or to the north to MW-4 in shallow ground water
at this time
' • The lateral extent of dissolved hydrocarbon-and MTBE-impacted ground water has not been
delineated northeast, east, and south of MW-2
' 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based on the results of this investigation, AGE recommends
• Continued quarterly monitoring of wells on-site
1 Additional soil and ground water investigation focused in the down gradient direction,
especially in the area of MW-2 and the UST and dispenser systems,to determine the lateral
' extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impact and MTBE-impact to soil and ground water The
next quarterly monitoring event is scheduled for December 2000
1
6.0. LIMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
' analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic/hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of
available data points (I a ground water samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from
' these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
recommendations contained in this report
1
1
1
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
1
