c
KLEINFELDER
ATTACHMENT A
SCOPE OF WORK
LIMITED SOIL SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS
PROPOSED GLENBRIAR ESTATES SCHOOL SITE
TRACY, CALIFORNIA
INTRODUCTION
Kleinfelder is pleased to present this proposal for Jefferson School District's proposed Glenbriar
Estates School site in Tracy, California.. This proposal was developed after review of Sierra
Environmental Consultants Phase I Environmental Assessment of the subject site, discussions
with Mr. Tom Hawkins of Jefferson School District, and is Kleinfelder's current understanding
of the site conditions, and is a preliminary understanding of your desires and requirements. We
have prepared this proposal based on information usually requested in a workplan by the San
Joaquin County Public Health Services Department Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD)
and the State of California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB).
Kleinfelder is committed to providing a high level of service to its clients, commensurate with
their wants and needs. If a portion of this proposal does not meet the needs of the client, or if
those needs have changed, Kleinfelder stands ready to consider appropriate modifications,
subject to the standards of care to which we adhere as professionals. Modifications such as
changes in scope, methodology, scheduling, and contract terms and conditions may result in
changes to the risks assumed by the client, as well as adjustments to our fees. We look forward
to the opportunity to serve you.
BACKGROUND
We have briefly reviewed Sierra Environmental Consultants' Phase I Environmental Assessment
report dated April 11, 1997, of the proposed Glenbriar Estates School Site, located in Tracy
California. Soil sampling was recommended in Sierra Environmental Consultants Phase I report.
The soil sampling was recommended in a gravel pit area, orchard, and on the west portion of the
site. Soil was recommended to be analyzed for fuel, oil, grease, solvent hydrocarbons, and heavy
metals in the gravel pit area. Soil in the west portion of the site and the orchard were
recommended to be sampled and analyzed for heavy metals, chlorinated hydrocarbons, DDT,
DBCT, EDB, DD, arsenic, and lead.
20-YP7143/2017/3096 Page No. 1 of 6
C01997, Klcinfelder, Inc.
