MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 5-01-055 -3 - <br /> TRI <br /> 3 - <br /> TRI VALLEY GROWERS PLANT NO.4 <br /> STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Prior to sampling or purging, equilibrated groundwater elevations shall be measured to the nearest 0.01 <br /> foot. The wells shall be purged at least three well volumes until pH and electrical conductivity have <br /> stabilized. Sample collection shall follow standard analytical method protocols. Groundwater <br /> monitoring shall include, at a minimum, the following: <br /> Sampling Reporting <br /> Constituent Units Type of Sample Frequency Frequency <br /> Groundwater elevation feet Measurement Quarterly Quarterly <br /> pH S.U. Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Total Dissolved Solids mg/l Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Fixed Dissolved Solids mg/l Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Nitrate as Nitrogen mg/1 Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen mg/l Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Total Coliform Organisms MPN/100 ml Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Trihalomethanesi µg/l Grab Annua12 Annual2 <br /> Analysis for this parameter shall be performed using EPA Method 8010 or equivalent. <br /> 2 Annual samples shall be collected in the first quarter(January-March)sampling event. <br /> LEACHFIELD MONITORING <br /> The domestic wastewater systems will be visually monitored on a monthly basis. Leachfield monitoring <br /> will consist of visual inspection of the leachfields and nearby area for the presence of wet areas, leachate <br /> or groundwater seepage, objectionable odors, and/or unexpected plant growth. Leachfield monitoring <br /> results shall be included with all monthly monitoring reports. <br /> REPORTING <br /> In reporting monitoring data, the Discharger shall arrange the data in tabular form so that the date, <br /> sample type (e.g., effluent, groundwater, etc.), and reported analytical result for each sample are readily <br /> discernible. The data shall be summarized in such a manner to clearly illustrate compliance with waste <br /> discharge requirements and spatial or temporal trends, as applicable. The results of any monitoring done <br /> more frequently than required by the Monitoring and Reporting Program, including wastewater data <br /> collected for industrial wastewater discharge permits, shall be reported in the next scheduled monitoring <br /> report. <br /> As required by the California Business and Professions Code Sections 6735, 7835, and 7835.1, all <br /> groundwater monitoring reports shall be prepared under the direct supervision of a California Registered <br /> Engineer or Geologist and signed by the registered professional. <br /> A. Monthly Monitoring Reports <br /> Monthly reports shall be submitted to the Regional Board on the 1St day of the second month following <br /> sampling (i.e. the January Report is due by 1 March). At a minimum, the reports shall include: <br /> 1. Results of effluent and flow monitoring. <br />
