BSI<,*,,
& Associates,, Geotechnical Consultants, Inc.
May 25 , 1989 PROPOSAL PR89038
Nestle Enterprises, Inc.
c/o Mr. Peter Aitelli , Attorney at Law
Morrison & Foerster
345 California Street
San Francisco, CA 94104
SUBJECT: Proposal
Environmental Site Assessment
A. Levy & J. Zentner Co. Property
1534 E1 Pinal Drive
Stockton, California
Gentlemen:
As requested, we have prepared this proposal for an environmental
site assessment of the subject property. The property,
approximately 4.2 acres in area, is located immediately south of
El Pinal Drive and adjacent to Bell Distributing Company to the
south_ Based on our recent site visit and information provided
by Bell Distributing Company and the owner, the property consists
of a tilt-up type warehouse building having a two-story office
portion, an adjoining truck loading dock, paved parking area, an
unpaved open storage area, and three underground storage tanks.
The purpose of our investigation would be (a) to evaluate the
current and past land use practices of the site and neighboring
properties and to assess potential impacts, if any, from these
practices, and (b) to assess surface and subsurface soil
conditions in the immediate vicinity of the underground tanks and
unpaved storage area in the southeast portion of the site from a
contamination standpoint. To accomplish this purpose, we propose
the following.
SCOPE OF INVESTIGATION
Phase I - Preliminary Assessment
This phase of the investigation would consist of a review of the
existing site conditions , review of the current and historical
land use of the project site and surrounding properties, and
review of the current and recent operational activities at the
project site and surrounding properties.
