Advanced gid,
GeoEnvironmental , Inc.LC
- =
15 March 2000 EDV
AGE-NC Project No. 00-0704 MAR 16
2000
ENVIRO(qMEI`_IAL HEALTH
Ms. Margaret Lagorio PERMIT/SERVICES
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY PHS-EHD
304 East Weber Avenue, 3`d Floor
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: Phase II Site Assessment Work Plan
FORMER GRAYLIFT, INC.
3131 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
At the request of Mr. Dana Suntag of Shaver, Suntag&Feuerstein, Advanced GeoEnvironmental,
Inc. (AGE)has prepared this Phase II Site Assessment Work Plan for the former Graylift, Inc. site
located at 3131 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California. The location of the site is illustrated on
Figure 1.
Also included is a site specific health and safety plan, a service request form signed by Mr. Dana
Suntag, a boring permit and boring permit fee. We would like to initiate the field work on Tuesday,
21 March 2000.
SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work will initially include the advancement of up to five soil probe borings to depths
of 30 feet below surface grade (bsg). However, if field observations indicate that significant
contamination is present at the site, selected probe borings may be advanced to greater depths or to
ground water, or additional probe borings may be advanced. Proposed probe boring locations are
illustrated in Figure 2.
Soil samples will be collected from each probe boring; grab ground water samples will be collected
from selected borings if ground water is encountered. Total depth of probe borings will be based on
field observations and field screening using an organic vapor meter(OVM) equipped with a photo-
ionization detector(PID: Thermo Environmental 580A, 10.0 eV, calibrated to isobutylene).
Soil samples will be collected from the probe boring at five-foot intervals from ground surface to
the total depth of the boring.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
4005 North Wilson Way, Stockton,California 95205
Telephone(209)467-1006 FAX(209)467-1118
