If the soil and/or railroad <br /> ties are contaminated, but deemed non-hazardous, then they will be transported and disposed at <br /> the Forward Inc. Landfill, located at 999 South Austin Road in Manteca, California, southeast of <br /> the site. If the soil and/or railroad ties are deemed RCRA hazardous, then they will be <br /> transported to Chemical Waste Management's Class I facility at located at 35251 Old Sky Line <br /> Road, Kettleman City, California. Before transporting the soil or railroad ties to a disposal <br /> facility, manifests will be generated and sent to the DLA Project Manager, Mr. Jim Peck, for his <br /> signature. <br /> Other investigative derived waste will include the 20-mil liners, decontamination water from the <br /> hand augering of three samples, water from the steam cleaning of the ballast, gloves, and <br /> miscellaneous construction waste. The decontamination water will be disposed with the soils. <br /> The water from the ballast washing activities will be analyzed for TPH diesel and hydraulic oil <br /> and disposed accordingly.
