Smith
Red Thread II (U.L. 069151) .
c. Piping and fittings for Secondary Containment: Pipeline is high density
polyethylene, Tntaijtant.
d. Corrosion protection: Fiberglass tanks are not susceptible to corrosion due to
contact with earth or water.
e. Compatibility: Stored materials are compatible with fiberglass tank construction
and with steel, fiberglass, and high density polyethylene piping. No sealing
compounds will be used which are not compatible with gasoline.
6. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS STORED AT THIS SITE:
DOT/HAZARDOUS
PRODUCT VOLUME CLASS
(1) Regular Leaded 12,000 gallons max. FLy/la
(1) Regular Unleaded 12,000 gallons max. FL,/la
(1) Super Unleaded 12,000 gallons max. FL,/la
7. SEPARATION OF MATERIAL: Every precaution is taken to prevent mixture of products.
Each petroleum product grade is stored in individual tanks with individual pipelines
to dispensers. Each storage tank has a product and capacity tag attached to the fill
tube. Manhole covers are painted with identifying color code. Should the products be
mixed by accident, a more hazardous situation would not exist.
There will not be any cutting or welding of materials permitted anywhere on the
premises during construction or normal operating conditions.
8. MONITORING PLAN:
a. Inventory Control - Inventory records shall be maintained and reconciled by the
Owner for each tank and product for indication of possible leakage from tanks or
piping.
The basic weekly gasoline inventory record shall contain the following information
for each tank.
1) Product
2) Stick or gauge readings of physical inventory
3) Meter reading
4) Inventory balance
5) Volume differential (overage or shortage)
6) Signature of person reconciling inventory
Inventory records are to be maintained 1 year and reviewed monthly.
