Mr. Sean Peacher of Winefield & Associates, Inc.
requested this extension by telephone on June 5, 2009.
To comply with the State Water Resources Control Board Resolution No. 2009-0042, the
EHD approves the semi-annual monitoring and sampling of monitoring wells: MW-1,
MW-2, MW-3R, MW-4, MW-8, MW-9, MW-17, MW-19, MW-20, MW-21, MW-22,
MW-23, MW-24, MW-25, and MW-27. Analyze groundwater samples collected from
these wells for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPHg); benzene,
toluenei ethyl benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX); methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE),
ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary-butyl alcohol (TBA), tertiary-amyl methyl
ether(TAME) and di-isopropyl ether(DIPE).
The EHD approves the biennial monitoring and sampling of monitoring wells: MW-5,
MW-6, MW-7, MW-10, MW-11, MW-12, MW-13, MW-14, MW-15, MW-16, MW-18,
and MW-26. Analyze groundwater samples collected from these wells for TPHg and
MTBE, only.
Monitoring well MW-25 has not been sampled since June 2008 because the well can not
be located. This well must be found and sampled during the next sampling event. Also,
the EHD is not being notified when the sampling events will take place. You must notify
the EHD at least seventy-two hours prior to a sampling event so an inspector can be
present.
