Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: Vicki McCartney[EHj
Sent: Friday, December 21, 2007 11:15 AM
To: 'Windy Brown'
Subject: RE: Frontier Groundwater Sampling
Hi, Windy.
It is good to hear from you. When will you be at the site for the fourth quarter groundwater monitoring event? I
plan to be off next week.
Also, if I were not so busy, I would have already sent a letter concerning problems that have not been addressed
yet concerning the Frontier Transport, Inc. site. I still don't have the report for installing monitoring wells MW-19,
MW-20, MW-21, MW-22, and MW-23; nor have I received the aquifer pump test results. The report for installing
MW-22 and MW-23 was due to our department on October 27, 2006. Also, our department sent a letter dated
August 8,2006, telling the responsible party to insert a passive skimmer to remove free product found in MW-2
and MW-21. I don't think this has been done. The last time I checked Geotracker in early December, I
discovered that the last entry to Geotracker was done on 11-29-06. 1 did receive a report for installing MW-24, 25,
and 26, but did not receive the surveyor's report for these wells. As you can see, the responsible party is out of
compliance and as soon as I can find the time, I will be writing a directive letter addressing all of these issues.
This is not the time of year to be grumpy, so I will end with hopes that you, too, will have a very Merry Christmas
filled with hope,joy, and peace.
Vicki McCartney,Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton,CA 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
E-mail: vmccartney@sjcehd.com
From: Windy Brown [mailto:windysab@yahoo.com]
Sent: Friday, December 21, 2007 10:25 AM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Subject: Frontier Groundwater Sampling
Hi Vicki,
I hope you are enjoying this delightful holiday season. I just wanted to let you know that
Del-Tech has been scheduled to perform the 2007 4th quarter groundwater monitoring
event. We will begin openning wells by 8:30 or 9:00 am and should finish sounding and
start sampling around 10:30 or 11:00 am. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks and Merry Christmas,
Windy Brown
BEA, Inc.
