This means of off-site disposal of
water is very expensive and we are planning to obtain a permit from your office and dispose of the
water into the sewer system where the truck wash exists.
We are planning to install granular activated carbon(GAC)to treat the water for fuel
contaminants including MTBE. The treatment media will consist of two, 500-pound, 12x30 virgin
coconut shell granular activated carbon. The removal efficiency of virgin coconut shell GAC is
usually more than 99%.
The two 500-pound vessels will be connected in series. They will have sample ports before and
after each vessel for monitoring the process water. The water will be pumped from the two
extraction wells, through the GAC vessels,to the storage tank. We will sample the water after the
GACs to demonstrate that the contaminants are removed. Is this work acceptable to you such that
we can proceed with purchase and installation of GACs?
If you have any questions, please call me at(949) 768-6210 or send me an email.
Thank you very much,
S. We will issue
the permit to discharge on site which will include monitoring frequencies.
Erich
From: Javad Masoudi rmailto•imasoudi@emscorp.us]
Sent:Thursday, December 18, 2014 9:55 AM
To: Erich Delmas
Cc: DZumberge@hotmail.com; 'Vicki McCartney'; GOsterkamp@osterkamporp.com; Kuldeep Sharma;
'Marshall, James@Waterboards'
Subject: RE: Frontier Sampling
1/90/2015
