y <br /> 6.2 ADDITIONAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS <br /> Workers exposed to special hazards during field operations at the Former ACC property shall <br /> receive additional training as determined by the Project Health and Safety Coordinator. On-site <br /> managers and supervisors shall receive all training required for employees whom they supervise, plus <br /> eight additional hours of specialized training on management and supervision of such operations . <br /> Prior work experience or training will be acceptable provided that it is equivalent to the training <br /> requirements specified above. Whenever employees are working on-site, at least one person will be <br /> currently certified in Standard First Aid/CPR training. <br /> I <br /> 6.3 DAILY SAFETY MEETINGS <br /> 1 Site-specific "tailgate" safety briefings will be conducted daily by the SSO or his designee <br /> to discuss the day's operations, review any modifications to the HASP and ensure that site personnel <br /> have the necessary information to conduct their jobs safely. The Tailgate Safety Meeting Form <br /> - (Attachment 2) will be completed during this briefing and signed by all personnel in attendance. All <br /> completed forms shall be maintained on-site. Upon completion of the project, all forms shall be <br /> forwarded to the project Health and Safety files. <br /> i ) 6.4 TRAINING PROGRAM CONTENT <br /> I, BEII's Health and Safety Training Program involves instruction, self-study and field <br /> exercises in the following areas : <br /> * Science of Hazardous Materials : Chemical and physical properties of <br /> hazardous materials . <br /> * Toxicology: Dose response, routes of exposure, toxic effects and exposure <br /> limits . <br /> * Industrial Hygiene: Selection and use of proper protective equipment and <br /> clothing to ensure minimal contact with contamination, along with the proper <br /> methods to decontaminate non-disposable equipment. <br /> * Decontamination: The methods to don and doff protective equipment and <br /> _ clothing to ensure minimal contact with contamination, along with the proper <br /> methods, to decontaminate non-disposable equipment. <br /> I <br /> !_ * Emergencies : Potential emergency situations, first aid, self-rescue <br /> techniques, emergency drills, Record keeping and investigation. <br /> i <br /> * BEII Procedures: All aspects of the BEH Health and Safety Program for <br /> Hazardous Waste Site Operations, site-specific HASP, the Corrective Action <br /> 1 Plan, and company standard operating procedures regarding these areas : <br /> J * Names of personnel and alternates responsible for site safety and health; <br /> * Known or suspected health and safety hazards, <br /> * Proper use of personal protective equipment; <br /> 6 <br /> ' l <br />
