18
• No BTEX or T ' as gas, diesel or oil were detected in ground water in the
three borings Bi, BZ and Ba.
Western Portion of Parcel/West of Former Ship Building
• TPH as motor oil is present at designated concentrations to a depth of at least 5
feet. TPH as gas and diesel were not detected
• No benzene, toluene or ethylbenzene were detected in soil. Xylene was present
in the 5 foot sample from B4 at a concent—lion near the analytical detection
limit.
• Elevated total metal concentrations (lead, copper, and zinc) were present at each
of the three sampling depths (1S, 3 and 5 feet) in boring B4. Metal
concentrations are generally increasing with depth.
• The total lead concentration at 134 equals the TMC. The soluble lead
concentration determined from the standard waste extraction test (citric acid)
exceeds the STLC; however, the deionized WET resulted in a very low soluble
lead concentration (0.016 mg/1).
• The 134 soil sample, which was analyzed for total and soluble threshold limit
concentrations for selected metals, has a slightly alkaline pH.
• The standard WET procedure (citric acid extraction) conducted for copper, zinc
and mercury resulted in soluble metal concentrations well below STLC values for
those constituents.
