cbCurtis &Tompkins, Ltd.
s
Laboratory Number: 145486 Order Date: 05/03/00
Client: Advanced Geo Environmental, Inc.
Project Name: Chase Chevrolet-Madison
CASE NARRATIVE
This hardcopy data package contains sample results and batch QC results for three
water and twelve soil samples received from the above referenced project. The
samples were received cool, but above 6 degrees C. Insufficient sample was received
on sample 1513-6-6 (145486-001) to perform the lead analysis.
Total Volatile Hydrocarbons (TVH)/BTXE (Water): The continuing calibration
standard (CCS) %Ds for the TVH trifluorotoluene surrogate were above acceptance
limits. The CCS %Ds for the BTXE compounds on 5/12/00 were below acceptance
limits on the confirmation column only. No target range compounds were detected in
the associated samples. No other analytical problems were encountered.
• Total Volatile Hydrocarbons (TVH)/BTXE (Soil): The BTXE bromofluorobenzene
surrogate recovery for sample 1513-6-10 (145486-002) was outside acceptance limits.
The associated trifluorotoluene surrogate recovery was acceptable.
The CCS %D for benzene on the confirmation column was above acceptance limits.
The compound was not detected in the associated samples.
Several of the CCS %Ds for the surrogates were outside acceptance limits, however, in
all cases, the associated analyte %D was acceptable. No other analytical problems
were encountered.
Total Extractable Hydrocarbons: Samples 1513-9-10 (145486-011) and 1513-9-
15 (145486-012) were extracted at a dilution due to insufficient sample. No target
range compounds were detected in these samples.
No matrix spike results are available for the soil batch number 55717. The
concentration of analyte in the spiked sample rendered the spike amount insignificant.
No other analytical problems were encountered.
Volatile Organic Compounds: No analytical problems were encountered.
Metals: No analytical problems were encountered.
