Soil <br /> lead concentrations exceeded acceptable levels for child and industrial receptors. The additional <br /> soil sampling and analyses performed during the RI was combined with the previous data to <br /> develop a more representative collection of analytical data for the Site. The RA indicated that <br /> the revised representative chemical concentrations yielded HIs that were less than 1 for all <br /> receptors, and predicted blood lead levels for residential children were 11.4 ug/dl. Total excess <br /> cancer risks ranged from 3.0E-05 for residents, to 1 E-06 for the construction workers. <br /> Area 20—PEA-calculated HIs exceeded 1 for construction and landscape maintenance workers <br /> • and resident receptors, due to the presence of arsenic. Excess cancer risk exceeded acceptable <br /> ranges for construction and landscape maintenance workers, and residents. Additional sampling <br /> and analysis for the RA indicated that HIs exceeded 1 for commercial industrial workers and <br /> residents. Total excess cancer risks ranged from 3.0E-04 for landscape maintenance workers to <br /> 5E-05 for commercial industrial workers. Predicted blood lead concentrations were less than <br /> 6 ug/dl for all receptors. <br /> 1.4.2 Operable Unit 2 <br /> Area 15 —HIs exceeding 1 for construction and landscape maintenance workers, and adult and <br /> child residents were calculated for the PEA and RA. Carcinogenic risks were within acceptable <br /> ranges for construction and commercial/industrial workers, and slightly exceeded that for <br /> landscape maintenance workers (based on PEA calculations). The excess cancer risk for <br /> residents was calculated as 2E-04, during the PEA. Arsenic in soil and benzene in the <br /> groundwater were the drivers.
