ATTACHMENT D
REVIEW OF PREVIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL AND GEOTECHNICAL STUDIES
ON-SITE
No environmental or geotechnical studies were available for review on the property.
OFF-SITE
GRANTLINE GAS AND FOOD
Date: June 2, 1993
Subject: Soil sampling at the location of the former product lines and stockpile soil
Prepared by: Advance Soil Technology, Inc.
Addressee: Grantline Gas and Food
Summary: Four soil samples were collected from former product line trenches and one sample was collected
from stockpiled soil for chemical analysis. Elevated levels of gasoline and BTEX were reported in 3 of the 4
product line samples. Peak gasoline concentrations were reported at 26 ppb, 33 ppb, 38 ppb and 93 ppb.
Reported total lead concentrations projet from 20 to 24 ppm. Volatile organics by EPA Test Method 8010 were
nondetect in the soil samples collected.
Date: July 9, 1993
Subject: Underground Tank and Removal
Prepared by: Advance Soil Technology, Inc.
Addressee: Grantline Gas and Food
Summary: Three fuel underground storage tanks (USTs) were excavated and removed from the property on
June 30, 1993. Elevated levels of gasoline and BTEX were reported in 7 of the 8 soil samples collected from
beneath the removed USTs. Peak gasoline concentrations were reported at 360 ppm. Peak BTEX concentrations
were reported at 77 ppb, 180 ppb, 250 ppb and 740 ppb. A grab water sample collected from the base of the
tank removal excavation had gasoline concentrations of 100 ppm, and BTEX concentrations of 72 ppb, 99 ppb,
110 ppb and 360 ppb. Diesel fuel was reported as non-detect.
D-1
