REVIEW OF PREVIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL AND GEOTECHNICAL STUDIES(cont.)
SHELL OIL COMPANY
Date: December 22, 1989
Subject: Water Sampling
Prepared by: Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc.
Addressee: Shell Oil Company
Summary: These borings were advanced to collect representative groundwater samples. The samples were
obtained throuh the annulus of the auger using disposable bailers. TPH concentrations registered from nondetect
to 0.16 ppm. BTEX concentrations registered for nondetect+0.33 ppb toluene.
CURTISSPONTMC-CADILLAGGMC,INC
Date: February 1995
Subject: Site Contamination Work Plan
Prepared by: Geologic Audit Services, Inc.
Addressee: Curtis Pontiac-Cadillac-GMC, Inc.
Summary: On July 31, 1991, three USTs and associated dispensers and piping were excavated and removed
from the site. Elevated levels of TPH and BTEX were detected in the soil samples collected from the tank
excavation. TPH and BTEX concentrations in a grab sample reported at 150 ppm,25 ppm,43 ppm, 5.7 ppm and
32 ppm, respectively. Lead was detected in the water sample at a concentration of 0.67 ppm.
Date: August 23, 1989
Subject: Soil Assessment for Property Acquisition
Prepared by: Delta Environmental Consultants,Inc.
Addressee: Shell Oil Company
Summary: Six exploratory soil borings were completed on the property to evaluate whether soils beneath the site
have been impacted by pesticides/herbicides or petroleum hydrocarbons. Trace levels of DDT (0.02 mg/kg) were
identified in one (composited) surface soil sample collected. Trace levels of BTEX were identified in one of the soil
samples collected.
D-4
