Soil Suitability/ Nitrate Loading Study Addendum Irerracon
Arriaga Property ■ Stockton, California
August 31, 2020 ■ Terracon Project No. NA207046
The southern half of the site consists of Hollenbeck silty clay soils with 0 to 2 percent slopes.
Typical soil profiles consist of 0 to 10 inches silty clay, 10 to 37 inches clay, 37 to 42 inches silty
clay loam, and 42 to 60 inches cemented soils. Soils are moderately well drained with high runoff
potential, slow permeability, and high shrink swell potential. For sites with septic systems, the
slow permeability can be improved by increasing the size of the absorption field, backfilling
leachfield trenches with sandy material, and installing long absorption lines.
1.5.1 Soil Boring Locations
Based on a review of the site plan, the proposed leach field will be located on the southern half
of the parcel, south of the proposed mobile home. Two shallow percolation test borings (B2 and
B4) were placed near the anticipated leach field. Refer to Appendix A, Exhibit 2 for the
approximate boring locations. Refer to Appendix A, Exhibit 2 for the approximate boring locations.
Refer to Table 5 below for boring GPS coordinates.
1.5.2 Soil Boring Dimensions
Soil borings were advanced with a 4-inch diameter hand auger. Borings B2 and B4 were
advanced to 3.5 feet bgs and boring B3 was advanced 5.0 feet bgs or auger refusal.
1.5.3 Soil Lithology Observed
The following table presents a log of the soil boring(s).
Table 5.
Summary of Soil Lithology
Boring Depth Interval Soil Type Unified Soil Latitude Longitude
(ft) Classification
Clay, hard with
B1 0-0.5 cobbles.
