r��The predominate wind direction through the region is to the east-southeast. West-northwest, or upgradient wind shed comes through the Altamont Pass and over agricultural production land. Although the pesticide DDT was banned in 1972, its presence in San Joaquin Valley soils is an indication of its long half-life. It is extremely unlikely there are any concentrations of DDT or its degradates in the property soils from farming operations that may have taken place on the property. Any minute residual pesticide concentrations are inconsequential. § 3.3 Description of all current on-site potential and/or known above ground and below ground sources of contamination identified at the project site are included in Section 3.2. No sources of current aboveground contamination were observed, other than the referenced non- hazardous items. § 3.4 Description of all past off-site potential and/or known above and below ground sources of contamination identified in the area of the project site that could impact the site include: Information conveyed by the ERS documents indicate listings with a highly unlikely impact to the property from a listed site. The GeoTracker document illustrates listings within a one- half mile radius from the property that are downgradient with respect to directional groundwater flow. There are no Leaking Underground Fuel Tanks (LUFT) on, or adjacent to the subject parcel. Agricultural spray drift affecting the property from the nearest agricultural production land is an extremely slight possibility, since agricultural production occurs one-half mile to the west. §3.5 Descriptions of all current off-site potential and/or known above and below ground sources of contamination identified in the area of the project site include those referenced in Sections 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4 above. Any contaminated sites can be considered"past" off-site sources of contamination that are simultaneously"current"contaminated sources. § 4.0 EVALUATION OF PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION IDENTIFIED AT OR NEAR THE SITE AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHER ACTION § 4.1 Evaluation of each potential and/or known source of contamination identified in the above Sections have been discussed in the respective Sections to facilitate the transfer of information to the reader. -5- Chesney Consulting
