tlonitoring Well Installation{York Plan
Paragon 900-3 1-3
monitoring wells at this location, possibly as deep as 30 feet below grade (depending on the PID field
screening results). At any such deeper monitoring well location, Paragon will direct Spectrum to place a
five-foot section of well screen at the bottom of the well, with a filter sand pack extending one-foot
above the top of screen and a one-foot bentonite seal above that. We have found this method of well
construction sufficient to prevent vertical hydraulic "short-circuiting."
Paragon has scheduled Spectrum on-Site for Monday, July 31 and Tuesday, August 1, with a
contingency to continue on Wednesday, August 2 if necessary. Therefore, we request that you process
our well permit application promptly. Please feel free to contact the undersigned at (860) 923-1984 or
(781) 278-0911, extension 230 if you have any questions or comments regarding this work plan or our
recommendations.
Sincerely,
Paragon Environmental Services, Inc.
4;_2So
.Goud, LSP LEP
Vice President, Technical Services
Enclosures: Sketch plan of proposed monitoring well locations
1999 Aerial photograph with proposed well locations marked
Standard protocols(5 pages)
3412 West Hammer Lane.Stockton, California
Page 3
