I.Monitoripg : <br /> 1. Spill prevention is continuous endeavor. <br /> Immediately secure and then correct deficiencies in <br /> oil handling equipment. <br /> 2. The lube shop manager is to sign and date the <br /> monthly inspections. <br /> 3. The waste oil tank and antifreeze exchange system <br /> are considered hazardous waste and must be <br /> inspected each day of operation leaks from the <br /> outside and inside the secondary containment <br /> cavity. <br /> J. Counter Measures: <br /> 1. Report any substandard equipment or potential <br /> hazardous situations to lube shop Manager. <br /> 2. Keep 201bs of granular absorbent (3g cap.), 20 <br /> absorbent pads (5g cap.) and 4 each 10' oil only <br /> booms (32g cap.) in a 55g drum in a dry location. <br /> 3. Keep empty barrels available for spent <br /> absorbent. <br /> 4. Be vigilant for the sounds of an open oil line. <br /> S. If a line is breached be observant for back <br /> siphon. <br /> 6. If a tank is impaled leave object in place to <br /> restrict rate of release. <br /> 7. If a tank is breached manage contents with <br /> pump, trolley pans and waste oil tank. <br /> 8. Call 911 for the fire department hazardous <br /> material response team if a catastrophic breach <br /> beyond your control occurs. <br />
