CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> GENERAL ORDER FOR <br /> STOCKTON DEEP WATER SHIP CHANNEL'S <br /> MAINTENANCE DREDGING ACTIVITIES <br /> ATTACHMENT "B" <br /> APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> A Report of Waste Discharge (Form 200 plus supplemental information) and filing fee must <br /> be submitted for each proposed maintenance dredging project. The Report of Waste <br /> Discharge shall be prepared by either a California Registered Civil Engineer, Registered <br /> Geologist, or Certified Engineering Geologist and shall provide the following information: <br /> A. Dredging Project Area Description: <br /> 1. Map of proposed maintenance dredging area. <br /> 2. Reach of ship channel to be dredged by channel mile. <br /> 3. Average width of channel to be dredged. <br /> 4. Average thickness of sediment to be dredged. <br /> 5. Estimated total cubic yards to be removed. <br /> 6. Any additional physical or structural aspects of the project that would make the <br /> maintenance dredging unique, i.e., bridges, piers, docks, marinas, sewer outfalls, etc. <br /> B. Description and Operation Plan of Dredging Method <br /> 1. Type of dredging system: Hydraulic cutter head suction dredge, hopper dredge, clam <br /> shell, drag-line, etc.; <br /> 2. Dredging rate per day in CY's, hours of operation, estimated days to complete <br /> project, <br /> 3. Best management practices to be implemented during dredging operations to prevent <br /> impacts to water quality, <br /> 4. Method of transporting dredged materials to Dredge Material Disposal (DMD) site, <br /> i.e., piped, barged, hauled by trucks, or etc., <br /> 5. A map or site plan showing the route of dredged material transport equipment to the <br /> DMD site; details of levee and road crossing must be provided, if applicable. <br /> C. Predredge Sampling and Analyses Performed <br /> 1. Sufficient predredge sediment samples must be collected for analyses to demonstrate <br /> that the General Order is applicable to the proposed deep water ship channel's <br /> maintenance dredging efforts. <br />
