CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. <br /> FOR <br /> UNITED STATES ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS AND PORT OF STOCKTON <br /> STOCKTON DEEP WATER CHANNEL AND TURNING BASIN MAINTENANCE DREDGING PROJECT <br /> MILE 36.5 TO MILE 41 .0 <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> This monitoring program consists of monitoring of the receiving water at the <br /> dredging site and monitoring of the return water from, settling/decanting operations <br /> on Roberts Island, and the receiving water at the return water discharge point. <br /> DREDGE SITE RECEIVING WATER MONITORING <br /> Grab samples shall be taken at five feet below the surface of the water and ten feet <br /> from the channel bottom. The two grab samples from each station shall be composited <br /> together in equal volumes resulting in one sample from each station for analysis. <br /> Water samples shall be taken from the following stations: <br /> Station Description <br /> R-1 Upstream of the dredging location undisturbed by <br /> the dredging operation, and not to exceed 3000 <br /> feet from the dredge. <br /> R-2 300 feet downstream of the dredge suction head. <br /> Samples shall be collected and analyzed from Stations R-1 and R-2 as follows: <br /> Constituent/ Sampling Minimum <br /> Analysis Units Frequency Detection Limit (mg/1 ) <br /> pH pH units 2 x week' <br /> Suspended Solids mg/1 2 x week' <br /> Electrical Conductivity ymhos/cm 2 x week' <br /> Turbidity NTUs Daily <br /> Hardness, as CaCO3 mg/l Monthly <br /> Tributyl Tin mg/l Monthly 0.00002 <br /> Total Silver mg/l Monthly 0.0001 <br /> Total Arsenic mg/l Monthly 0.001 <br /> Total Cadmium mg/l Monthly 0.0005 <br /> Total Chromium mg/l Monthly 0.001 <br /> Total Copper mg/l Monthly 0.001 <br /> Total Mercury mg/l Monthly 0.0002 <br /> Total Nickel mg/l Monthly 0.005 <br /> Total Lead mg/l Monthly 0.002 <br /> Total Zinc mg/l Monthly 0.002 <br /> 1 Two times per week. <br />
