• Consumer Dispenser Area—There are 4 dispenser islands for gasoline and diesel fuel located <br /> under the canopy near the minimart building. Transfer operations in these areas are typically <br /> performed by customers and include transfer of product into the customer's vehicle. <br /> o General Containment—Spill kits with absorbent material are available for use to clean <br /> up the maximum likely spill volume in the area(5 to 10 gallons). These measures can be <br /> deployed quickly and will provide adequate containment for the expected spill volume (5 <br /> to 10 gallons). Additionally,Apex recommends that Joe's Travel Plaza purchase a <br /> rubber mat that can be used to cover the nearest storm drain in the event of a <br /> release. <br /> SIZED BULK STORAGE TANK SECONDARY CONTAINMENT (40 CFR 112.8(c)(2)) <br /> All bulk storage containers at the Facility must have adequate secondary containment for the entire <br /> capacity of the largest container in each area and sufficient freeboard. While calculating potential <br /> storage capacity for tanks that are not covered, sufficient freeboard is considered to be 2 inches, which is <br /> the maximum 25-year storm event(24-hours).
