1. As requested, site specific background for chromium will be determined by collecting samples of up to 3 locations
on the property unlikely to be impacted by the stockpiling activities. The screening level for TPH-diesel range will
be determined by multiplying the Water Quality Goal(100 gg/L)by a natural attenuation factor of 100. The
screening levels will be using with the DI-WET analysis of the soils.
2. Phase I will include the sampling of the 6 locations of the monitoring well installation points(3 on the French
Camp and 3 on the Lathrop Site—please note, this sampling has been completed but results have not been received
from the laboratory)and the additional 6 borings at Lathrop and the 7 borings at French Camp. As discussed,if
the sample results from the monitoring well installations indicate no impacts from the stockpiles,MonierLifetile
may request a reduced boring number or a reduced sampling depth.
3. Phase I and Phase II will be combined with the background borings conducted in the same field exercise as the
investigation borings.
4. All soil analysis will be completed using the DI-WET method.
