The purpose of the subsurface
investigation is to evaluate the subject site for potential impacts resulting from historical agricultural
operations and/or other environmental impacts that may exist beneath the site, as part of due diligence
prior to site acquisition and/or development.
The scope of work includes advancing six Geoprobe soil borings; analysis of selected soil samples; and
preparing an investigation report detailing site activities. The scope of work is described in detail in the
following paragraphs.
SITE LOCATION
The site is located on the north side of Roth Road, approximately 300 feet east of U.S. Interstate
Highway 5 in French Camp, California, as shown on Figure 1. The site is primarily undeveloped and
consists of approximately 15.41 acres. The western portion of the site is paved with asphalt and is used
as a storage area for roofing tiles and trailers. An active sand operation is located in the northern portion
of the site.
SCOPE OF WORK
Planning
ATC will schedule field personnel and equipment, notify Underground Services Alert to locate
underground utilities as required, and perform other necessary field preparation and job start-up
activities. ATC will also obtain a San Joaquin County permit for the advancement of the Geoprobe soil
borings. The permit application is attached to this workplan.
Advancement of Geoprobe Soil Borings
Six Geoprobe91 soil borings will be advanced to a depth of approximately 28 feet below ground surface
(bgs) for the primary purpose of collecting groundwater samples. Two borings will be advanced along
s:\environmental\75112-Pilot\Roth Road\phaselrwp.doc 1
