Turn left on to French Camp Road. Merge on to Interstate 5 North on the left toward <br /> Stockton. Exit north-bound Interstate 5 on Pershing Avenue and continue straight. Turn right on <br /> to W. Acacia Street. The Hospital is located at 525 W. Acacia Street. <br /> B-3 Air Monitoring Program and Respiratory Protection: Vapors emitted from soil borings will <br /> be periodically monitored using a PID. In addition,if any unusual strong odors are noted,work will <br /> be temporarily discontinued and the source of the odor evaluated. In the event concentrations of <br /> hydrocarbon vapors measured in the breathing zone exceed 10 parts per million(the threshold limit <br /> value for benzene),work will be suspended and the site evacuated until engineering controls can be <br /> implemented to reduce the hazard. Respiratory equipment will be available on-site but will only be <br /> used if high levels of organic vapors are detected and it is necessary to secure equipment prior to <br /> evacuating the site. <br /> B-4 Personal Protective Equipment: It is anticipated that the level ofpersonal protection required <br /> for this project will be U.S. EPA Level D. Personal protection will be modified to Level C in the <br /> event it is necessary for emergency evacuation of the site. Personal protective equipment for each <br /> member of the field team will be available on-site and used as may be required by field conditions. <br /> A summary of the personal protective equipment is as follows: <br /> • Full or half face respirators equipped with organic vapor cartridges; <br /> • Tyvek® coveralls; <br /> • Neoprene rubber gloves; <br /> • Steel-toed leather work boots or steel-toed rubber boots; <br /> • Safety glasses; and <br /> • Hardhats. <br /> Hardhats will be worn at all times. Goggles will be worn during steam cleaning operations. If <br /> required,the remaining personal protective equipment shall be put on before entering the immediate <br />
