geotechnical soil borings on three locations at the property(at the approximate locations shown on
the proposed test boring location map).
Location 1 (APN# 168-19-06).
Twining will drill 30 geotechnical soil borings to depths ranging from 10 to 50 feet below site grade
(BSG).
Location 2 (APN# 168-19-07). .
Twining will drill 44 geotechnical soil borings to depths ranging from 10 to 50 feet below site grade
(BSG).
Location 3 (APN# 168-17-07).
Twining will drill 41 geotechnical soil borings to depths ranging from 10 to 50 feet below site grade
(BSG).
The geotechnical soil borings will be used for soil sampling/characterization to determine
engineering and classification properties of the soils related to geotechnical concerns. The borings
will be drilled with a 6 5/8"outside diameter hollow stem auger mounted on a CME 75 drill rig.Soil
borings reaching to or below the water table will be backfilled with 10 sack sand-cement slurry
which will be placed from the bottom up and the slurry will be cast through the hollow stem auger.
The soil borings not reaching the water table will be backfilled with soil cuttings generated during
drilling and backfill will be compacted.
The following work is proposed to achieve the above referenced objective:
• Obtain drilling permits from SJCDEH; and
• Mark the site for Underground Service Alert (USA) at least 48 hours prior to drilling;
Twining would appreciate a quick response to this letter.
