On
April 24, 2014, Krazan was requested to conduct an expedited Phase II Limited Site Assessment (LSA)
for the subject site. The proposed work is being conducted in conjunction with on-site construction
activities and not by the request of a regulatory agency.
BACKGROUND
During recent construction activities, trenching took place in the area of a former diesel generator pad.
Trenching activities revealed the presence of hydrocarbon-stained soil with a mild to strong hydrocarbon
odor. Krazan visited the subject site on April 24,2014 and determined that soil borings were necessary to
assess the lateral and vertical extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soil and to characterize the contents of on-
site soil piles resulting from the trenching. The proposed work was authorized in an email dated April 24,
2014 from the client.
Based on depth to groundwater data' from a nearby site located at 9504 South Harlan Road, French
Camp, California, indicates that first groundwater was encountered at approximately 21 feet below
ground surface (bgs). Since it appears that the site topography between the subject site and the nearby
French Camp Grain Elevator site is relatively flat, depth to groundwater beneath the subject may also be
approximately 20 to 25 feet bgs.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the LSA is to assess subsurface soil conditions beneath the former diesel generator pad.
PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK
Based on the information provided by the client and Krazan's site visit, the following scope of work is
proposed:
General/Field Activities
1. Krazan will prepare a site specific health and safety plan (HASP) including appropriate level of
personal protection equipment,to cover sampling activities.
2014.Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.,Groundwater Monitoring Report—Fourth Quarter 2013,French Camp
Gya-n Ele,a;9,95Q4 sit;14aAa n Read,Fr-gnsh GamP,califowiia,-Ja14uat}IQ!4,
215 West Dakota Avenue•Clovis,California 93612•(559)348-2200•FAX(559)348-2190
With Offices Serving the Western United States
014-14075 San Joaquin Hospital French Camp Workplan FINAL
