#79— Six universal waste (UW) lamps were left against the wall in the valve house. UW <br /> lamps must be stored in a closed container and in a manner that prevents breakage and <br /> release to the environment. Correct immediately by properly storing UW lamps in a <br /> container and close it. Ensure that all UW lamps at this facility are stored properly. <br /> Minor violation <br /> #83 —The six UW lamps were not labeled. UW must be labeled to identify type of UW. <br /> Correct immediately by labeling the UW lamps as "Universal Waste-Lamp(s)" Insure <br /> that all UW lamps are labeled properly. <br /> #84—The six UW lamps did not have documentation that indicated when it became UW. <br /> A UW handler shall be able to demonstrate the length of time that the UW has been <br /> accumulated from the date it became a waste or was received. Correct immediately and <br /> implement this practice with all UW. <br /> #85 — Records for UW disposal were not on site. A UW handler shall keep a record of <br /> each shipment of UW sent from the UW handler's facility to another facility. The record <br /> may take the form of a log, invoice, manifest, bill of lading, or other shipping document. <br /> #79 — The fluorescent lamps were moved to the hazardous waste storage area at <br /> Pardee Center on the date of the inspection(8/30). #83 & #84—The lamps in this <br /> area are in closed boxes and labeled as Universal Waste. #85 — Hazardous waste <br /> is picked up from Pardee Center by NRC every 90 days. The manifests for this <br /> pickup are under the generator ID number for Pardee. For tracking how many <br /> bulbs are moved from Camanche to Pardee we have implemented an <br /> administrative control in which the closing comments on the work orders in which <br /> bulbs are changed out will indicate how many bulbs were moved to Pardee and on <br /> what date. <br /> C � t <br /> 1 _ <br /> .t <br />
