Truck washing facilities are not specifically listed in the <br /> Highway Service Zone. The closest use is a truck service <br /> station listed under Section 9-6402(a) of the Planning Title . <br /> It is staff-s preliminary determination that a truck wash <br /> facility is not appropriate in the HS zone , although it may be <br /> appropriate if accessory to a truck service station. This use <br /> could be incorporated into the service station design and <br /> theoretically be a logical accessory use . As a primary use , <br /> however it does not meet the intent of the highway service zone <br /> and would detract from the planned-for development at this <br /> interchange. <br /> 2 . If the applicant desires , a text amendment to the HS zone can be <br /> pursued . If the text amendment was successful , staff offers the <br /> following comments on the proposed layout of the truck washing <br /> facility : <br /> Relocate the structure more to the center of the parcel to <br /> allow for a longer entry drive. This would allow for <br /> additional room for stacking , if several trucks are waiting <br /> to use the facility. <br /> r: <br />
