a
LEIVEL)
Proper Storage of Hazardous Waste MAY 0 4 2015
A satellite accumulation area is regulated under the EPA NVIRONMENTA!
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) hazardous
waste management program. The satellite accumulation
area (SAA) is a term that refers to the accumulation of
hazardous waste at another location such as in our exterior
designated storage area.
For proper containment of hazardous substances, they must
be labeled with a hazardous waste label or manufacturers
label for hazardous materials, in a container that shall not
be damaged, rusted or potentially leak upon the addition of
waste going into the container, and they must be sealed
when not be accessed.
All hazardous substances must be kept off the ground by
placing them on pallets, such as common wood shipping
pallets or plastic spill containment plastic pallets.
