Your corporation owned the <br /> former UST system at the time of its removal in 1994, and, according to the Grant Deed for the <br /> property; you sold it to Edward and Dorsie Overton in August 1997. It appears that Metz Bakery <br /> bought the business and took over the site investigation for a brief period, but did not buy or <br /> own the property, therefore you are still the primary Responsible Party for this site. <br /> The last report received by EHD for this site, dated 09 March 1998, was for a cone <br /> penetrometer testing investigation of the site. EHD is not aware of any additional work <br /> performed on the site and has received no additional reports since that time. The vertical and <br /> lateral extent of the contaminants of concern have not been delineated, the contaminant mass <br /> has not been estimated, and its potential to adversely affect human health and additional <br /> groundwater supplies has not been evaluated. <br /> You are directed to submit a work plan to EHD by 30 September 2005 to investigate the vertical <br /> and lateral extent of contamination from the former UST system. You are also directed to <br /> reinitiate quarterly groundwater monitoring no later than 30 September 2005.
