Fuel was found in 87 product STP sump. Technician confirmed the presence of fuel in the sump and indicated amount removed to be around a quart of fuel. This is indicative of a leak in the primary piping. All primary containment for the UST system must be tight. Immediately have a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor repair or replace the failed component under permit and inspection of the EHD. This is a minor violation. 319 CCR 2635(b) No spill bucket, failed to contain five gallons, or failed to provide a means to keep it empty. The diesel, 87 and 91 product UST is not equipped with a spill container that holds five gallons. All USTs shall be equipped with a spill container that has a minimum capacity of five gallons and a drain valve that allows drainage of the collected spill into the primary container or provide a means to keep the container empty. Once the spill containers fail a tightness test or are replaced the must be replaced with a 5 gallon capacity spill container. This is a minor violation.
