06 October 2006 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 04-1207 <br /> Page 7 of 9 <br /> basis and submitted to a State of California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified <br /> laboratory for analysis for the following constituents: <br /> • TPH-g in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified; and <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) in accordance with EPA Method <br /> 8260B. <br /> Ground water samples from the pump-and-treat system influent will be collected on a bi-weekly <br /> basis and submitted to a DHS-certified laboratory for analysis for the constituents listed above. <br /> Laboratory reports for vapor and grab ground water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality <br /> assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be <br /> presented in the final remediation report. <br /> The SVE system will be physically maintained on a weekly basis according to manufacturer <br /> recommendations (i.e., lubrication, oil changing, system adjustments, etc.). <br /> 4.0. PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Professional Geologist. Procedures for SVE piping system installation, ground water extraction <br /> system installation,SVE/ground water extraction system start-up periods,sampling,monitoring,and <br /> maintenance are outlined below. <br /> 4.1. INITIAL ACTIVITIES <br /> The following tasks will be performed prior to any digging/drilling activities: <br /> • Secure proper city/county permits; <br /> • Preparation of a Site Health and Safety Plan in accordance with the Occupational Safety and <br /> Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities - Prepared by National <br /> Institute for Occupational Safety and Health,Occupational Safety and Health Administration, <br /> U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, October 1985; <br /> • Notification the EHD and CVRWQCB a minimum of 72 hours prior to commencement of <br /> any work after securing proper permits; and <br /> Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc. <br />
